Title:
Inspiron 560
Product Uses:
web surfing, e-mail
Review:
I got this for my husband because he only surfs the web and does e-mail and that's the extent of his computer knowledge. I was a little skeptical about onboard video and audio, but for his needs, its more than adequate. I thought about adding a video card, but after seeing the picture quality, decided it was not necessary. He's happy and I'm happy!! Good purchase.

Great Deal
Product Uses:
web browsing, papers presentationetc., casual gaming, desktop replacement
Review:
I have had this laptop for about 2 weeks now. I can honestly say that I am very pleased with the laptop. I got the 4GB of DDR3 RAM, the Intel i3, and the 1GB ATI video card. The laptop runs very well. Running a virtual machine and doing work in the host OS is a breeze. Linux runs quite well. The laptop with Ubuntu 10.04 starts in about 12 seconds (thats a rough guess). The reason I give it 4 stars and not 5, is that the screen has a bit of horizontal flex and the screen(when closed) can be pressed down quite a lot.. This worries me about how well the screen will hold up to being in a bag with some school books or other items. The price was great though, as I got a very nice student discount.

Pretty good overall

Review:
Pros Neat machine. Works well. Reasonably quick. Cons Poor documentation, especially with regard to upgrading from XP to Windows 7 which turned out to be a nightmare getting back to where I was with my old machine. Guidance on getting printers/scanners/phones etc. to talk to W7 non-existent. Not enough USB ports. 4 on a machine like this is just not enough. Had to install an additional USB card. Very few ports on motherboard for upgrades.
