Dell 15Z 5523 Review - Hardware is great

Product Uses:
speed, backlit keyboard, design, size of hard drive, no light on the end of the power cord

Review:
I highly recommend this computer. The thing I love most is the speed. It boots very fast and is easy to use the wake mode. Design is sleek although I preferred the on the Studio line. I do like this surface much more than my recent Inspiron. I would have given a 5 rating to the features and value if the hard drive had been larger. It comes with a standard keyboard which I prefer. This may be an obstacle to some users. Keyboard has a great feel and the back light is fabulous. A must have for my future computers. I have been using the machine for 2 weeks so am still adjusting. I prefer a power cord with the LED light because it was easy to find in the tangle of cord at my charging station. All in all, I love this machine!

17R se review

Product Uses:
lighter than the vostro, easy to remove windows 8, back lit keyboard, build quality lower than the vostro, no reinstall media (ms windows users, no bluetivation light tooth ac, warranty void with ms windows removed

Review:
I have had a 17r se for a day or so (short time you say) but I have being using computers since the early 80's so by now I know when something is right, which in most ways the 17R is.
however there are some short comings (some of which are not Dell's problems) .
The 17R was purchased to replace an old Dell Vostro 1700, which since 2008 has done the job but as I don't use MS Windows the 17R came preloaded with MSWV8 which gave me an hour or 2 to remove that (MSWV8) and install a linux OS but to be fair the linux OS installed first time and every piece of hardware worked.
