Title:
Inspiron Zino HD
Review:
Excellent PC. Very easy to set up, worked straight out of the box, even recognised the Sony AV Amp I plugged it into. Very quiet operation and is located over my satelite receiver with no heating issues. Performs very well at browsing, on-line gaming and streaming video, despite weak broadband signal at this location. Also, very glad I ordered the matching remote control unit - makes life a lot easier when watching DVD's.

Title:
Zino HD
Product Uses:
family entertainment, streaming, photo video & music collection, surfing, homework, sky player
Review:
I have just bought a top of the range Zino HD to replace my 10 year old Dell Dimension 8200, what a difference time makes and what a delight to use. I recently turned our Dining Room (only ever used at Christmas time) into a Family games /media room. The Zino HD is hooked up to a new Panasonic 50” Plasma and a new Panasonic Blu-Ray Home Cinema system and a Wi console. The windows Media Centre seems to be sorted now compared with earlier versions and very easy to use, we have also subscribed to the Sky player for fun. I would recommend the Zino HD to anyone who doesn’t want a Tea Box next to the telly and forget the overpriced Apple equivalents. We are also proud owners of 2 Inspiron Laptops and 1 Studio Laptop and couldn’t go past Dell. By the way, we are normal people and not Computer Geek’s. The only quirk I have with the Zino is:- Why did they not fit an optical output? The HDMI output does not give a sound output to the TV. I have had to run a separate phono output / twin channel input cable from the Zino to the Home Cinema System. But apart from that, it’s great.

Amazing Little computer, might need a few tweaks
Review:
I have had my Zino HD 400 for almost 6 months and am SO impressed, but there are things you need to know. First, if you use it with hdmi cable and have no sound go to the sound in windows 7 control panel and select hdmi. Second you might have to make it fit to your hd tv. With the Ati 4330 graphics card go to catalyst control center and find the property's and adjust to fir your aspect if it does not fit. Make sure your tv is set to 16.9. This part might be tricky and you might want to use google for help. Windows 7 gives the Ati 4330 a 5.9 (out of 7)for 3d graphics, impressive for a small form factor computer. Also get at least a Athlon x2 cpu. These are low power but very capable cpu's. In all the 16 years and with all the computers I have owned, this is my favorite. Plays dvd movies and 1080p videos without effort yet uses only 38 watts. I can most anything my high power desktop can do. I am not a big gamer but this will play many games. I also added a dell wireless keyboard and mouse for $49.00 Very solid mouse and keyboard with the usb receiver for a lot less than many other brands. Dell does have sales from time to time and you can save a lot of money so use the internet to look for sales. My only regret is when I bought this unit on sale is that I didn't buy 2. This is the perfect home media center pc and a very capable (with a few upgrades) desktop pc. I have not had one single hiccup with the Zino hd 400.

Great Computer!
Product Uses:
streaming video
Review:
I bought this about a month ago and got rid of my cable. I can watch most of what I want on Hulu or Netflix and I also use Windows 7 as a DVR to record over the air programs. The wireless works great and I bought the wireless keyboard so I can sit on my couch and serf. LOVE IT!!!!

Title:
Get the last mass-produced HTPC in America!
Product Uses:
tv and dvd viewing, listening to radio, streaming music and videos, streaming online media
Review:
I ordered this with max performance in mind. Using external tuners the Zino records 4 TV shows without a complaint. The S3 sleep mode makes it very green and will wake up to record TV. It's also very quiet.
Aside from unwanted factory software, the Zino's weakness is it's Blu-ray drive. Laptop style instead of motorized slot makes it cumbersome to load/eject discs. And while the Cyberlink software makes movies look great, it doesn't always work well with Windows Media Center 7. But don't let this stop you from buying this really good home theater PC!

Overheating, worked around using eSata ext disk.
Product Uses:
media pc, office/studying
Review:
Worked fine for a year, then constant bluescreens. Narrowed down to overheating as happened more often when the Zino was pushed such as video conversion.
Removed the internal hard disk, bought a caddy and connected via external eSATA connection, no problems since.

The Almost Perfect HTPC....
Product Uses:
entertainment pc, work pc, online movie streams, online music streams
Review:
LOVE this purchase...only wish that it has a second PCIe slot to allow the install of a quad-tuner/DVR card which would have then made it perfect. Will be swapping the drive to a 750GB Momentus Hybrid 6GB SSD/eSATA 7200 rpm 2.5 drive with a 3.5 adapter. Did this upgrade on my AMD Quad laptop and it ROCKS.
Love this HTPC in conjunction with my 65" HDTV and wish DEll would have took a longer view on this product and offered consistent marketing support to build the awareness since it makes so much sense in today's wired home.
