Title:
Dell Streak Is the PERFECT Cell-Phone for Me
Product Uses:
living modern life!
Review:
I simply don't know why Dell does not advertise this Dell Streak more, because it is a tremendous piece of equipment. It's solidly built, it's a great size for men with large hands, and it simply works well! I am a long-time BlackBerry phone user; but last year I bought a Nexus One. I really liked the functionality of the Android operating-system, but the screen was just too small for me to do "typing" of SMS and e-mail. So, I sold the Nexus, and returned to BB. In December, 2010, quite by accident, I heard about the 5" Streak. I immediately bought the Cherry Read unlocked 32GB version. Been using it (with Android 2.2 pre-installed), and finding it to be a perfect phone for me. Yes, it is a cell phone, and it does that function very well. BUT, but, but...even more, I can type wonderfully fast on the screen, (using Smart Keyboard Pro that anyone can get on the Android Market for just a couple of dollars). This keyboard gives me the AutoText functionality that I enjoyed on the BlackBerry. So, typing on-screen is simply easy and accurate. I luv, luv, luv the web-browser and e-mail. It works! It just works very well. The music player also works very well. And despite many reviewers criticizing the 5 megapixel camera, I find that it works just fine. It's not a Nikon, but it snaps good usable photos just fine. AND, my new Streak brings an "awe-factor" with it. When I pull out my Streak, people are amazed at my shiney large gizmo. I luv it! Yes, this is a very high-quality device, that simply works well.

Title:
Powerpacked and Amazing
Product Uses:
Travel, music and movies, offical emails and office documents, playing games, online 24x7 in touch with friends
Review:
Its been more than 6 months that I have been using this phone and it is worth every penny. The reason why i bought this smartphone as working for DELL for 5 yrs, I know that this company makes robust products which deliver atleast 95% of what is advertised. This being my third DELL product works as great as the other two. The right screen which I like , crisp and amazingly bright display ( cant keep on full brightness ), love browsing on the big screen, playing my favourite game NFS is like a bonus. No matter how much load i have put on this device it never breaks a sweat and processes everything thrown at it. No freeze or random issues unlike other android phones in the market. As someone stated earlier in the thread, it really is the best of both worlds. A smartphone and a tablet, checking my emails and working on documents and presentations is fun to do on the screen as there is a lot of workspace.
In short its a great product. I dont know what I would do without it even for a single day.
Just one issue that I would like to point out is the battery life. With the screen this big the battery included should be atleast 2500 mAh as 1530 doesnt suffice the need of heavy users like me. If battery of that capacity cannot be included then atleast extended battery reporting should be enabled in the kernel or the baseband as my Mugen 4800 mAh doesnt get reported properly.

Title:
fragile charging interface
Review:
The charger interface gets damage easily. Mine broke when it was still new. Cost me 250 bucks to get it fixed. Was told by Dell technician it is a known problem. Many units sent in for repair for this same problem. To add to the frustration, the dealer quality of service is horrible.
