Title:
Studio XPS 16 is the best I have owned
Product Uses:
Connecting with Friends, video processing, gps navigation, document creation, media player
Review:
I was debating whether or not to buy a PC or a Mac to run Windows 7 (Which I prefer to Mac OSx). I really like the hardware that Mac uses. However, matching up side by side, I was able to get a more powerful laptop than the Mac Book Pro in the XPS 16. This also cost me $1,400 less. When I received the XPS 16 I was so surprised at how thin, sharp, and stylish the XPS 16 was. Then I installed Win 7 and WOW. This computer and OS is the quickest, smoothest, powerful laptop I have ever touched. Every piece of the laptop is high quality. The heat dissipation complaints are over rated. It does get hot when running on the "high performance" battery state and running several programs. However, this PC has plenty of power to run in the "balanced" state and stays comfortable on the lap. I encode Blu-ray DVD's without a hitch, the powerful processor does this task in decent time, best I've seen for a laptop. The screen is just the sickest thing since sliced cheese. All in all, I give this laptop my highest possible rating! (Studio XPS 16, 8Gb DDR3 Ram, 1Gb Dedicated Video, 3.06 Ghz dual core processor, 1920 x 1080 resolution, HDMI, dsplay port, serial ATA,and 3 USB ports to boot)

Title:
I Love It So Much, I Bought The Company
Product Uses:
education, entertainment, internet, word processing, desktop publishing, photograph printing
Review:
I have owned Dell Computers for about 10 years, and this is my third laptop. I am disabled and going to school over the internet. I am an aspiring photographer, and that is what I am studying in school. I needed a "Laptop that would replace a desktop". The Studio XPS16 is reliable and secure enough with it's Windows 7 operating system and McAfee Security Suite, that I could attend school over the internet and get my assignments to my instructors fast and worry free. The Facial Recognition is VERY COOL...AND it prevents anyone but me from logging on to my laptop, and you can use it to store user names and passwords for your facorite websites too. I also needed something that was powerfull enough to run film scanners, lightscribe drives, and a number of other high powered periferals. Again, The Studio XPS16 fulfilled all of my needs. With it's HDMI, 2 USB Ports, USB eSATA Port and Card Reader, I can download all of my photographs very quickly, I can run all of my periferals, and create a fast backup of my entire system with an external Hard Drive connected to the eSATA port. Drive space was also very importrant to me. RAW picture files are very large, and photographers rarely like to delete a photo...so they add up quickly, and so does the space they take up. The Studio XPS16, the perfect choice here as well. The 500GB Hard drive with "Freefall Sensor" allows my plenty of space to store all of my photographs and run all of my very large programs. Sometimes, I take my laptop outside with me on my wheelchair. The 'Freefall Sensor" gives me the peice of mind, that if it falls off of my lap, my data will be okay. It has 8BG of RAM, so it can run the biggest, most RAM intenstve programs with ease. Overall, I must say, that this is the best laptop/notebook computer that I ahve ever owned. I would recommend the Studio XPS16 to anyone looking for a quailty, high end laptop at a very affordable price, to but one of these. I was so happy with this, MY THIRD LAPTOP PURCHASE, and FIFTH MAJOR DELL PURCHASE OVERALL...That I bought 100 shares of DELL company stock to add to my portfolio.

The real facts. - Read this, Most accurate review
Product Uses:
hard core gaming, powerfull music creation, internet, pro video creation, hd media viewing
Review:
Pros:
This system is a powerhouse at gaming: any game I threw at this system, Eve online, WOW, Perfect World Online, anything, this system could handle it... And then some... Media creation is a snap, Sometimes i feel like the computer is moving faster than my clicks. HD media viewing. This 1920 x 1080 screen puts my friends brand new macbook pro to shame. Colors. Look. Amazing! i recomend getting the higher Res screen. 64 bit Windows 7 makes my life easier, simple as that. I can run 2 online games, multiple internet windows, Vegas pro movie software, FL studio, and skype all at one time... with no lag. Put it that way? Although many say the design is flawed, I highly disagree. they must have never seen OTHER laptops... it has a sturdy hardshell exterior, with a stainless metal trim, and optional hi-end leather... And the bottom is SOLID metal. Cant beat it. and the laptop does not get hot if you buy it with the 9 cell battery... it props the bottom up, allowing air to flow perfectly under it... Almost as if dell designed it FOR the 9 cell! :)
Cons
Such a powerful machine cant be as light as a feather. Its not light. not heavy, but NOT light. also, the powercord does get in the way, being on the side.
Review
Overall, the Pros of this laptop cant be matched by others. I switched from mac to this Dell Studio XPS.
... And now i've seen the light.
